Douglas Daka - Hospital Manager

Douglas is an accomplished Healthcare Manager with a strong foundation in bioscience and extensive experience in healthcare operations, governance, and service leadership. He brings a strategic, evidence-informed approach to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred services within complex and regulated healthcare environments.

With a proven track record in operational management, quality assurance, compliance, and workforce leadership, Douglas works closely with senior management teams and external regulatory bodies, including NHS England (NHSE), the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and Local Safeguarding Boards. His work ensures services consistently meet clinical, safeguarding, and regulatory standards.

Douglas is recognised for his collaborative leadership style and strong focus on governance, risk management, and continuous service improvement. He is deeply committed to embedding patient-centred care at the heart of service design and ensuring service users are central to decision-making and service development.

David Wilmott - Director of Nursing & Operations

David Wilmott is joining Grove Park Healthcare Group Ltd in April 2026 as a senior nursing and quality leader, bringing over 20 year’s experience as a registered nurse and more than a decade at executive and board level in the independent health and social care sector.  He has worked across acute and mental health services and has previously held senior posts such as Director of Nursing, leading large, complex services to deliver safe, high-quality care.

David’s career has focused on strengthening governance, quality improvement and patient safety, as well as building high-performing multidisciplinary teams across hospitals and specialist care services.  He has a particular passion for involving patients, residents and carers in shaping services, improving safeguarding, and ensuring people receive compassionate, person-centred care.

At Grove Park Healthcare Group Ltd, David will provide strategic nursing leadership across our services, supporting our teams to enhance quality, safety and regulatory compliance, and to develop a strong, values-driven culture for both residents and colleagues.  His appointment also supports our ambition to expand our services and further strengthen our position as a leading service provider in Sussex.

Dr Brishna Shah - Lead Consultant

Dr Brishna Shah is a GMC Specialist Registered Consultant Psychiatrist with over 25 years of experience delivering high-quality, evidence-based mental health care across both NHS and private sectors. She is an Approved Clinician and Section 12–approved under the Mental Health Act, with extensive experience undertaking statutory and senior clinical responsibilities.

A senior member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, Dr Shah specialises in adult mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions. Her expertise includes the assessment and management of complex and co-morbid presentations, spanning common and severe mental illnesses, supported by a robust grounding in contemporary psychiatric research and best practice.

Dr Shah also leads comprehensive ADHD and Autism diagnostic assessments for adults aged 18 and over, offering both virtual and in-person consultations. Known for her compassionate and thoughtful leadership style, she is committed to providing safe, respectful, and non-judgemental care that empowers individuals to improve wellbeing and quality of life.

Brian Papa - Ward Manager

Brian is a Ward Manager with over 15 years of experience in psychiatric nursing and healthcare leadership, most recently specialising in acute mental health services. He brings extensive expertise in managing high-acuity clinical environments, supported by more than a decade of service as Head Nurse at the National Centre for Mental Health.

With qualifications in Nursing and Information Technology, Brian combines clinical excellence with systems-based thinking to support safe, efficient, and high-quality care delivery. His certifications in advanced life support and emergency care further strengthen his leadership in complex and crisis-driven settings.

Brian is recognised for his people-centred leadership approach, with a strong focus on staff development, operational effectiveness, and patient-centred outcomes. He is deeply committed to advancing mental health services through compassionate care, professional excellence, and continuous improvement.
